David and Kerry Priest began Northern Rivers Communications (NRComms) in a downstairs room and garage in Turf Street, Grafton in 1986.The business quickly grew and staff were employed to assist with the growing workload. In 1991 NRComms moved to rented premises in Bacon Street Grafton.

In 1996, the current premises at 88 Victoria Street were purchased and renovations were undertaken.
